Orthodontists with genuine hearts...

With a cool smile and a calm manner, Dr. Savastano (also known as Dr. Nick) invited us over for an interview to show off their new recently completed award winning Longwood office. Dr. Savastano joined forces with Dr. Dunn five years ago after graduating from The Ohio State University orthodontic program. Both doctors share their time between their Lake Mary and Longwood offices which are about 8 miles apart.

"After renovating our Lake Mary office several years ago we thought it was time to build a new office to better serve our Longwood patients", said Dr. Savastano.

Looking at Dr. Savastano's highly organized personal office I jokingly said that his office was too neat and orderly to be a doctors’ office. Dr. Nick smiled and said that being organized helps him concentrate on patient care and communicating with his referring dentists. Dr. Savastano works closely with Dr. Dunn to make sure all aspects of the practice are taken care of properly and in a highly organized fashion. They currently have 17 staff members including a full time orthodontic lab technician who is able to make and fix retainers in the same day. "Each and every day our team works hard to make sure patients are happy and getting the best results possible in the shortest amount of treatment time."

In order to achieve this goal, both doctors understand that their staff plays the most important role. Naturally, taking care of their staff is the number one priority. "To me, happy staff is the key to a healthy successful practice. We are taking care of our staff very well. They all have great benefits and essentially we work together like a family. In return for their hard work we take them on quarterly staff retreats which are always a ton of fun." The result, a very well-trained and genuinely happy staff.

The practice is very high tech and recently received the ABC 2007 construction of the year award for their new Longwood office on State Rd. 434. Both doctors are members of the American Association of Orthodontics, the Southern Association of Orthodontics, and are Board Certified orthodontists. Both Dr.'s Dunn & Savastano are also strongly supportive of our community. Throughout the year, they have been involved in many community projects. Dr. Dunn is an active board member of PACE school (which was originally founded by his mother) and Dr. Savastano is an orthodontist on the Orlando Craniofacial Cleft Lip & Palate Team.

Recently, Dunn & Savastano Orthodontics also donated $100,000 to North Seminole Little League Project. I know many kids and their parents are so grateful for their generosity.

As a patient of this office, I can tell you this, I have always encountered attentive and professional staff, whether at my regular or unscheduled visits. I am always looking forward to the next visit. Dunn & Savastano Orthodontics do know how to take care of their patients and staff.
